seeing Alaska's wild and remote backcountry as you
fly through Lake Clark Pass and on out across the
open country to our King Salmon River. This two hour
flight is worth the trip, all by itself. The plane
and pilot will stay with you for the day as you fish
with your guide for mighty King Salmon. You will
fish from the banks of this clear water river, with
your guide and all spin casting gear provided.

Bristol Bay Trophy Rainbows
Take an adventure through Alaska's fantastic
backcountry and fish for trophy size rainbow trout.
Share the experience with moose and bear, rather
than other fishermen. Catch rainbows to 10 pounds on
one of our beautiful clear water rivers, while
fishing from boat and/or bank. The fishing is
incredible and the two hour flight is almost worth
it by itself. The fishing continues to be tremendous
because hook and release is practiced on these
rivers. The plan and pilot are yours for the day.
Your trip leaves our base around 7:00-8:00 in the
morning, and doesn't return until about 6:00 in the
evening. A full day of fully guided and spinning
gear provided fishing, complete with many wonderful
memories and stories to tell. Flyfishermen are
welcome to bring their own equipment to enjoy the
great action. These trips are available in the
months of June & September.
Wolverine Creek - Sockeye Salmon
Leave Longmere Lake on a float equipped aircraft and
head west across Cook Inlet. Flight will take you
the base of the mountains at the entrance of Lake
Clark National Park and Lake Clark Pass. Fishing
will be in a cove of Big River Lakes (Wolverine
Creek) where the Sockeye Salmon congregate for going
up the creek. As we tell everyone, this is one of
the busier fishing spots we go to to and you can
expect to see several other fishermen. However, the
fishing is usually very productive and lots of fun,
and we nearly always see the Brown Bear in there.
Good photography opportunities for the Bear. Each
fisherman can bring back 3 fish and
catch-and-release as many as you like. Size of the
Sockeye are 4 to 6 pounds.
On guided trips, Alaska fishing charters supply all spin fishing
equipment and tackle. Also, hip boots if you don't
have your own. On some trips you may need to bring your own
lunch/drinks, insect repellant, personal items,
camera, and rain gear. All of our guides are
professionals so you'll have a great time!
Silver Salmon Fishing
Kustatan River
Glacial fed stream that is best for spin fishing.
Fish are fresh just coming in from Cook Inlet.
Wolverine Creek
Fish go up Big River from Cook Inlet and then into a
lake and creeks. Good for fly or spin fishing.
Chuit River
Clear water stream. Fish coming in from Cook Inlet.
Excellent for fly fishing.
Alaska fishing charters have professional guides that know both spin
fishing and fly fishing. They have all of the
appropriate spin fishing equipment for the clients.
If the client does want to fly fish, they should
just bring along their own fly pole and the guide
will have the right flies. Just let us know this
ahead of time. We also provide hip boots for all
guided clients. Client should bring along their own
lunch/beverages, personal items, camera and film.
Kustatan River usually begins by the mid July.
The Chuit usually the last week of July.
The best Silver Salmon fishing runs vary from year to year.
Both spots are near Cook Inlet.
Bristol Bay Sockeye
Get away from the crowds and
experience remote Alaska. View wide spaces of
beautiful country while flying to fish the crystal
clear water of the Bristol Bay drainages. Fly down
the clear rivers and locate schools of Sockeye
Salmon. Then fish right in the middle of them. Your
arms will be tired after battling 9-12 lb. Sockeyes
all day, limit of 5. This Sockeye run is the largest
in the State of Alaska and you must see it to
believe it.
Leave Longmere Lake in float equipped
aircraft for a
spectacular flight through Lake Clark Pass, Lake
Clark National Park, and the Iliamna Area. Great
sightseeing with the possibility of seeing wildlife.
An Alaska fishing charter will be fishing primarily for Grayling with the
possibility of Char or Northern Pike. This will be
stream and lake fishing. Your guide will provide all
spin fishing equipment and boots. If you would like
to fly fish, please bring along your own equipment.
You may want to bring along a lunch, beverages, and
don't forget your camera.
Chuit River King Salmon
Take a
spectacular flight through Lake Clark Pass, Lake
Clark National Park, and the Iliamna Area. Great
sightseeing with the possibility of seeing wildlife.
It is a 30 minute flight across Cook Inlet and into
the Native Village of Tyonek. You will be picked up
at the airstrip and transported with your guide to
the river for a great day of King Salmon fishing on
a clear water stream. Your guide will provide all
spin fishing equipment and boots. If you would like
to fly fish, please bring along your own equipment.
You will also need to bring along your lunch,
beverages, camera, and of course, plenty of film.
Pike / Grayling / Char
Have your own plane and pilot for the day, as you
fish two different locations for any two of the
following three. Your choices will be between
Northern Pike averaging 5-10 pounds, Arctic Grayling
averaging about 2 pounds, or Char in the 2-5 pound
range. Not necessarily the largest of Alaska's fish,
but plenty of action and variety. During the trip,
enjoy a shore lunch of fresh caught fish, it doesn't
get any better.
The scenery is spectacular on these flights. You
will see large portions of backcountry Alaska,
glaciers cascading out of the Alaska Range and
wildlife is abundant.
We fish mountain and tundra lakes and clear water
streams. The variety offered here keeps you excited
all day long. A lot of the waters fished are
catch-and-release, with minimum fish kept, but not
forgotten. Join us soon, experiencing wild Alaskan
fishing, on a trip you won't forget. This is a fully
guided trip, with all spinning gear provided.
Flyfishermen are welcome, with their own gear.
Crescent Lake - Alaska Range
This is a beautiful 45-minute flight each way in a
float equipped aircraft. Fishing is for Lake Trout
and Dolly Varden. Crescent Lake is located in the
Alaska Mountain Range (southwest of our location at
Longmere Lake) in Lake Clark National Park and is
very scenic as well as good fishing. The Sockeye
Salmon also start coming into the lake from Crescent
River (out of Cook Inlet) from mid to the end of
July. This is a glacial fed lake and river with
primarily bait fishing. Bears are sometimes seen in
the area.
